"Moon Over Balmain" Balmain by cjg1

Balmain is a delightful suburb of Sydney. Beautiful houses, parks, churches shops and people can be found in Balmain. My wife and I took the ferry from Circular Quay to Balmain to explore this suburb and found it to be a friendly and fun place.

We began our adventure with my favorite; a ferry ride across the Harbour. The ferry let us off at Thornton Park at the wharf which has incredibly harbour and city views; truly spectacular. From there we walked up Darling Street and eventually hopped on a bus. We found an incredible little pub named "The Pub with No Name" and enjoyed some delicious Belgian beer, musels and some new friends.

Wandering the shops and attractions of Darling Street was a highlight. The old monuments, churches, pubs, piblic buildings and pretty houses with their ironwork were very interesting to behold as we strolled.

As the day drew late we walked back to the ferry; amazed as the sight of the city peeked out over the trees. We hopped aboard a ferry to Circular Quay; happy that we had explored this lovely neighborhood.
