This sounds so generic here. But it really is true. You really need to take attention to the sun. Even on a day it rained while at the Botanical Gardens I got sunburned. Bring with you or buy the strongest sun block you can and use it religiously. No one enjoys ruining a vacation because you have sun burn.

We arrived in Sydney during the Spring Season (October) on our last trip. We noticed an unsusual amount of flies and swarming gnats. According to some locals this is common place for this time of year. We managed to get through the trip with only a couple of bites but next time we wil bring some bug repellent.

Hi Chris, Great Sydney page, I lived there for my first 27 years. Tip, next visit take the ferry to Manly, turn left from Ferry Terminal and walk the foreshore path towards Sydney, spectacular views, you can continue to Harbour Bridge, it will take a day. | ilko4002 Sun Mar 23, 2008 17:46 UTC
