Relaxing in the Lounge before a Flight

Favorite thing: It's always great to have lounge access before boarding a flight. The lounge was virtually empty and we had a seat in the corner. I like to arrive early and relax. We checked some e-mails and Liz did some school work. I enjoyed some Quilmes and Liz had some white wine. They had some nice cheese, crackers and fruit to munch.

Dining with a Large Group

Favorite thing: Dining with a large group can prove problematic but I have managed to pull it off in Buenos Aires for years. The Flyer Talk group is normally over 25 people sometimes more. Calling ahead and telling restaurants about the whole "group" dynamic gives them a chance to oraganize a private room or to section off a space in the restaurant. Dining with a large group normally means you will be eating earlier than normal; so the group will not interfere with the restaurants normal dinner crowd.

The only problem I have ever experience was on this last trip with people not paying towards their meal. It became an issue on two of our dinner experiences but fortunately the rest of the group kicked in extra to make up for the "bad" apples.

Enjoy Hosting Your Own Party in Buenos Aires

Favorite thing: I've always enjoyed renting an apartment when visiting Buenos Aires. On this last visit we rented a very large two level apartment; perfect for a party. Liz and I had a party one night for some of the Flyer Talkers that were here in Buenos aires for Cow Do. It was a fun time of drinking great Argetine wine and hanging out in our fabulous apartment. A highlight of the night was enjoying some wine as we all hung out on the balconies watching the sun set. It was a perfect evening with good food, good wine, good friends and my baby at my side.

Favorite thing: It's best to hang on to small bills. They are very hard to come by and make it easier when paying for a taxi.
