When you're in Cebu, you should not miss this place, Taoist Temple situated in Beverly Hills. The place has been there since i was a child. It's in a hilly area therefore you could get a glimpse of Cebu City. You can make a wish in the temple.

Lapulapu City

Mactan Shrine

He is Lapulapu the first Filipino to fight foreign invaders in our country. He fight not for politics nor for his own personal gain. He killed Ferdinand Magellan in the shores of Mactan.

The shrine is located at the place where the battle of Mactan between Lapulapu and his men and that of Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese sent by the King of Spain in 1500s.

Lapulapu City is also known as Mactan City or simply Opon. It's where the Cebu International Airport is situated. It's a small island connected by two bridges to mainland Cebu.

Hi Pearl, thanks for your nice comment on my homepage. My daughter used to live and work in Cebu, so I have heard a lot about it, but I have never been there.
