I've stopped in St. Thomas several times and find new treats each time. The first trip, I simply explored the world-renown shopping. In a few words, it's pretty spectacular. But I'm not the world's most devoted shopper so I looked for new experiences the second and third times around. It's such a beautiful place that I think you do yourself quite a disservice to stay right at the pier. I found the beaches gorgeous and the trip to get to them delightful.
