Tangier is a very nice place to live in !!
I don't have time to make the page , but I can't stand this very big feeling to make it !!

At this name’s evocation, we dream of many movies and romances that had as basis the legendary Tanger. The mystery that surrounds it is born, with no doubt from its particular location. Built in amphitheatre around a bay opening to the straits of Gibraltar, Tanger is situated at the frontier between Europe and Maghreb. Placed between two worlds, which doesn’t belong to any of them, it is a opened gate for all the dreams.

However, this strategic location caused from always the covetousness of the European powers. Consequently, after several centuries if eventful history, Tanger became in 1923 international area controlled by ten foreign diplomatists and a representative of the sultan. Due its particularly status (complete economic liberty, political and military neutrality), Tanger faces a growing prosperity.

Seduced by this arsenal of liberties, the multimillionaires, the adventurers and the artists went there. It appeared all the kinds of traffic and the magnificent receptions given on the wooded top of the residential district ‘Mountain’ bring the final touch to the city’s legend. From the independence, Tanger dropped off to sleep and it had particularly a tourist vocation!

Attracted by the sights and the softness of the climate, the Moroccans chose it as place of holidays. But the king Hassan the 2nd intended to give to his city its past glory, in restoring a free international area. It exists also a project for the construction of a tunnel or a viaduct connecting Tanger with Europe.
Here it rules an atmosphere of mystery inherited from the age when Tanger was an international area.
