when you can't remember where the hell you shot a pic, the only thing you can do is to find something to say to justify its presence on your page and going on hoping that someone will show up saying 'huuu, I remember that church in xxxx'.
I think it was in Puno....
the TIP, a really nice idea they had in Lima to prevent the exploitation of children in the 'begging business'. You can buy some coins, called 'tips', to give to the children begging in the street. Each tip can be exchanged for a meal but only a child can use it. When I was there, children asked directly for a tip. You can give it without worrying about 'grown ups' collecting all the money... it would be useless to them.
upgrade 2004
as it was a fantastic idea, it seems that TIP was dismissed a few years ago.
seagulls in Peru don’t speak the same language as European ones... once you've learned it, you can go on chatting for hours!

If a Peruvian tells you 'let's meet at 8'.... the correct translation is 'come whenever you like from 8 on.... ' If the time is supposed to be within a reasonable period from 8 on, you'll be told that the meeting is planned at '8 ora inglesa'... English hour... :-)
