You've got to beware of overbooking... four times out of four our plane leaving from Lima was overbooked... but you probably don't need to be so anxious as to get boarding pass number 1!!!! :-) On the other hand, trains are really slow and timetables are almost 'virtual'... but you can have real fun on a peruvian train. Just an example: cuzco puno, supposed to be ten hours took us something like 12 or 14 hours plus a several hour delay before leaving the station:-)
