"Gila Cliff Dwellings" Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument by jason707

Amazing story of of history

Worth a visit, if you do not mind to take 1.5 hrs to drive 38 twisting miles from Silver City...even without traffic ahead of you!

Amazing rock formations and cliffs

Everywhere around you in the Gila National Forest, amazing scenery: red, brown, snow covered (in winter) and fungus covered rocks, peaceful roads, wildlife, and no cellular phone coverage! Awesome.

View of Cliff Dwellings

Inhabited by Mogollon people in this region beginning 1200- 1300 AD.
