I caught the bug last October when my wife and I traveled to Europe. And although we haven't taken as substantial a trip as that one since, I'm nonetheless infatuated with travel. My goal? Well, the same thing we're all striving for -- I want these feet to touch every region of the world, these eyes to behold each treasure known to humankind and this mind to know the thrill of living life to its fullest.
Of course, I'm also a member of the real world, where career and money remain a priority. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to let my hair grow and live the life of a nomad, surfing from couch to couch until I saw it all. But, I ain't got the stomach for that kind of life. So, I'll settle for an annual trip to a new place each year and make the best of it.
Here's a picture taken in my backyard (so to speak). It's near Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. This is a popular spot for photos, so you might have seen this image before. Rest assured though that I did indeed take this photo.
