Ostrichfeather Ukraine 2003
From Muckachevo to Vinogrado u will see the most fantastic looking landscapes. On the way we passed a city where golddiggers are searching for gold. It seems they found some last year i was told...
and....

on the way back we visited a Ostrich-farm! They are from African origin.. The the man who takes care for those animals showed us youngs ones and how he feeds them.
wow...so great to see those animals...i walked between maybe 8 big ones:-) and my cousin Larisa gathered some of their feathers which i have a home now...what an experience.
I was here with Feodor from Organization Edelweis and my cousin Larisa to visit a woman from another hum. organization.
Her name is Vasylysa Vartsaba and the name of the organization is Sunrise. She has projects for invalids .
She lives in a normal home but at a militairy area with a lot of "Sklads", meaning a lot of building in which soldiers lived some 10 years ago but, when they left Vinogrado they distroyed and took everything what was usefull with them.
She wants to start maybe an orphanagehome if she will get enough sponsors that is..

Carin, I would like to visit that nice quiet town, too. The ostrich farm must be great! The feather is just marvelous!
