"Peru, Inca traditions and the Catholic church" Peru by Roggeveen

Peru Travel Guide: 7,653 reviews and 20,331 photos

Introduction

Peru is an amazing country. Especially when you come from a very 'no nonsense' atmosphere like in the Netherlands. Religion and ceremonies play a significant role in the daily live of the Peruvians. I enjoyed this holiday very much because of the friendly people, the remains of the rich Inca culture and the easy pace of the daily life (that's what holidays are for.)

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Remains of the Inca culture, natural beauty, colours
  • Cons:Poverty and crime (mainly in big cities)
  • Last visit to Peru: Oct 2002
