Mirjam, This is an absolutely wonderful page! I am so glad you enjoyed "old Adelaide" a city that many condemn, but one I love. I don't think people look too hard. You brought back many memories, like me going to Elder Park on Saturday mornings, watching the College rowing and having a picnic lunch. I love the North Terrace buildings, much nicer than a lot of our other capitals.
I too enjoyed the Migration museum, hadn't been there until this year, and thought it very interesting, and like you, Port Adelaide is fantastic now. The govt. is spending a lot of money making it a tourist destination, which it should as it is very historic. I have seen Dolphins there, but not on the cruise, would like to do that as it was very reasonably priced.
The Train I would like to do to, so much to see, so big an area to cover, so little time. Good on you for exploring SA!
Hi Dee, thank you so much for visiting this page, and for your lovely comment! I agree that Adelaide is overlooked by many! And yes, there is so much to do there - I really want to return to the area! How great that you have seen dolphins in Port Adelaide!
Great that you had such a good stay in Adelaide and also took the Indian Pacific train to Perth. I think the Migration Museum in Adelaide sounds very interesting. My younger son did two placements at the Cité de l'immigration in Paris and is writing his dissertation on immigration from other countries into France and Germany.
I especially like the Indian Pacific tip; good job here!
Hi Mirjam
I too loved the Migration Museum in Adelaide - the best in the country in my opinion!
Regards
Cathy
