Greenock, where art thou?

Greenock was an enjoyable place to spend the morning, especially since they were giving free tours of the city. (See my tips on Greenock, which are listed under UK instead of Scotland.)

Their famous son(s):
James Watt was born in Greenock, and they have a connection to Robert Burns through Highland Mary.

Luss and Loch Lomond

We arrived at the village of Luss, which is on the banks of Loch Lomond. Our guide told us that 25 rivers flow into the Loch, but only one comes out of it. In some places it is 5 miles wide; other parts are much narrower. Loch Lomond is so deep that it never heats up, and few people go in the water.

Luss is a very attractive village--houses with their rows of chimneys, and carefully tended gardens.
