From the air

Cuba is green from the air—a green jewel surrounded by blue water. It is green in every shade, with a few patches of brown earth where the land has been prepared for planting.

On the ground

Cuba is still beautiful, but it is easy to see that life is hard there. A lot of the green seen from above is tangled wild vegetation rather than crops, and Cuba imports food. The architecture is lovely, but falling into disrepair. People are poor, and their freedom is restricted.

An interesting experience Jessie! I'll take a look at your Havana page. BTW, is there a place in Cuba called Trinidad or did you mean another place?
