"Havana" Havana by JessieLang
Havana Travel Guide: 1,577 reviews and 3,583 photos
Havana is a lovely but faded lady—there are so many beautiful buildings in a number of architectural styles--colonnades, arched windows, balconies with wrought iron railings—but they are falling into disrepair, and sometimes actually falling down.
Seeing all the old American cars on the streets is like going back in time for many of us.
Havana has been the capital of Cuba since 1516. It was originally a walled city, but the walls were torn down in the 1700s when there was no more room inside them.
- Pros:great architecture, classic cars, nice people
- Cons:poverty and disrepair
