Ankered here is the battleship " U.S.S. North Carolina. It was commissioned on April 9, 1941 and used in battle during World War II, the USS North Carolina Battleship is a National Historic Landmark. We spend three hours touring the ship. The rooms under deck are small and seem to get hot , making it hard to live in. I loved the gift shop. Lighthouses, alligators, shellsetc. We saw two real alligators in the water around the ship. |
