Unique Qualities: Location and price.
It' s located between the Venetian and Harrah's, right across from the Mirage and the Forumn shops at Ceasers.
The price can't be beat for that location (around $70 on Friday or Saturday, $50 the rest of the week).
I dare anyone to find a hotel that has a casino around that area to find a better deal.
The rooms are OK, they have always been clean and comfortable. You might find a nicer quality room near by, but not at the price your paying for the Royale. Anyway; how much time do you really spend in your room?

last time I inquired it was about $75 on the weekends and $45 on weeknights. Also include in your expence budget, the price of a rental car. You'll need it, it'll cost you alot to take a taxi to the strip, they do have shuttle buses that go there, but you have to go by their schedules, which the last one that goes back to the hotel for the evening is around 10:30 (way to early). You can take the CAT bus that runs up and down Flamingo, but I wouldn't recommend it at 1:00 in the morning, with all your winnings tucked into your pockets.

Unique Qualities: Great rooms!!! Some of the best I've stayed at. Every time I stayed there it was to cold to go swimming, but I did take a look at their pool, and it didn't look bad. There's a sand yolleyball court next to it, and the sports bar is just around the corner. Speaking of the sports bar; it's called 'The Final Score', and one of the best sports bars in town. As for the view, I always requested a room over-looking the atrium located inside the hotel, and have never been dissapointed with it. At night they have a laser light show in there, it's free to watch, but better if you are in your room over looking it.

Unique Qualities: The prices at this hotel are quite reasonable.
The rooms are nice, but kind of dated. They are still clean and comfortable.
I payed an extra $10 per night to be upgraded to one of their 'mini-suites', if they have them avaiable when you check in, take it. You'll get a larger room at a higher floor (for a better view). It will still have a refridgerator in it, as all rooms do, but it also comes with a jacuzzi tub.
To get to Fremont Street Experience isn't that hard. It's only a short and safe walk there.
I also recomend joing their 'Slot Club'. I did and after spending a couple of days gambling there (nickles only), I had enough points to become a 'burgundy' level player. That's going to get me rooms at $40 on weekends and $30 weekdays. Try to find a hotel in Vegas at those prices.
