Sialkot is the second largest forigen currency earner of Pakistan.Largest exporter of Medical equipments and sport goods.All the big brands like Nike,Adidas,Reebok,have their franchise in this city.it is the largest exporter of cricket bats to England.Famous cricketer Zaher Abbas was born in this city.
Sialkot is mainly famous for Leather goods,sport goods/wears,surgical instruments and musical instruments through out the world.

Sialkot is famous through out the world for sport goods.In 1994 the city exporters were selected to EXPORT OFFICIAL SOCCER BALL TO FIFA FOOTBALL WORLD CUP,USA 94.Puma and Adidas export goods like tennis,racquets, hockey sticks,sport gloves,bags,boxing gloves and other sport goods by taking service of exporters by importing their goods.

Sialkot is exports starting from sewing needles to the surgery instruments used by docters.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS;
Sialkot exports best quality musical instruments such as Idiophones, membranophones, flutes,guitars,bag pipes,aero phones,lip vibrated musical instruments,keybord chordophones,harps,lyres,lutes and electrophones.
this is the place where it is said that baba Guru Nank(founder of sikh religion) stayed.
Zaheer Abbas:
Another famous personality born in Sialkot.He is a former Pakistani cricketer, regarded as one of the finest batsman produced by Pakistan.He is widely known as the "Asian Bradman", a reference to former Australian great Sir Donald Bradman.Abbas made his Test match debut in 1969, and in his second Test he scored 274 against England, still the fourth ever highest score by a Pakistani batsman after. This was the first of four double-centuries Abbas made; only ten men have scored more. The last of his four Test double-centuries was an innings of 215 against India in 1983, the first of three centuries in consecutive Tests, and his hundredth first-class century; Abbas and Geoffrey Boycott are the only two batsmen to have scored their hundredth first-class century in a Test match.
This is picture of house of late national poet of Pakistan named Allama Muhamad Iqbal.He proposed the idea of a separate homeland for the muslim of subcontinent India.He was born in Sialkot in 1877 and died in 1897.he was great poet,philosopher and an active political leader he not just proposed Two Nation Theory but he dreamed of a seperate home land for the muslims of sub-continent India.he finished his high school from Murray college,sialkot.he got gold medal in masters in Phillosiphy .he was a great critic of western society.He wrote the famous poem in Pakistan and India called"sare jahan se acha hindustan hamara"which means"our India is the best in the whole world" it was written when hindu and muslims of subcontinent were working together in order to get freedom 4rm Britishers. Other than Ilama Iqbal,Faiz Ahmad Faiz(very famous peot) and Maulana Zafar Ali Khan(writer poet and journalist who took part in moment of Pakistan) were also born in Pakistan.

What is the name of oldest resto of Sialkot Cant? I remember it was the only nice resto in the city long time ago.
