We (daughter, wife, and self) visited Bali as part of our South East Asian trip in March 2011.

Quite a few experienced travelers forewarned us that the island is inundated by tourist herds, in search of cheap party, and is no more a peaceful retreat. Some more experienced ones suggested to keep away from Kuta and Legian, and the trick worked for us.

We spent around a week and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Highlights of the trip included: 1) attending the crazy Ogoh-Ogoh which is listed among top ten festivals around the world by Lonely Planet, 2)watching Kecak-Kecak at Uluwatu Temple, 3) water sports, and 4) the famous Balinese maasage.

Wonderful! We reached there next to Neypi day on 24th March. I have taken thousands of pictures. But can't concentrate now to write the tips, though I have already started. Why don't you complete the page?
