A nice day out crusing around Phang Nga Bay in a speedboat. See the amazing ecosystem around Phang Nga Bay, visit "James Bond island", and relax on the small but beautiful Khai Island. A wonderful day out.

What you will be doing

07.30 hrs
Land transfer to pier at Boat lagoon Marina

08.30 hrs
Depart to Phang Nga Bay

09.30 hrs
Arrive at Phang Nga Bay and discover the fauna and floral of this amazing landscape at Koh Panak and Koh Hong learn more about the eco-system of this bay.

10.00 hrs
Visit Tapu island and Ping-gan island for 30 minutes. (Tapu island is also called "James Bong island")

10.45 hrs
Continue to Koh Talu to explore the labyrinth of mangrove swamp and pass through Tham Lod Noi and Tham Lod Yai. (Depending on the tide level and weather conditions)

12.00 hrs
Enjoy a great lunch at Panyi Village, after lunch a guided visit to a surprising village and free time to look around.

13.00 hrs
Depart to Koh Khai Nai island

14.00 hrs
Arrive at Koh Khai Nai island for snorkeling, swimming, or simply relaxing. Soft drinks, beach chairs and umbrella are free of charge.

15.30 hrs
Time to go back.

16.00 hrs
Arrive at pier at boat Lagoon Marina and transfer back to your hotel.

Everyone has to go at least once. This is a major tourist trap where the vendors are overly aggressive.

This was the main reason for us going on the Phang Nga trip 2 years in a row. We love this village. Beware, after you are done eating lunch at the restaurant find your way out into the village. Open closed doors. They tried to trick us into staying in one store while we were there have clothing racks block the entrances into the village. Because we were there last year we knew what to do and just started opening doors, eventually we made our way out of their self imposed prison! You must walk around the village to see the school and Mosque.

Karon Beach, a long stretch of unspoilt white sand nestled between Patong and Kata beach, is located on the southwest coast of Phuket Island. Karon, the second largest of Phuket's principal beaches, is quiet and relaxed with its sights set firmly on the family market. Good local restaurants, small guesthouses, larger resorts offering extensive sports and recreational facilities and of course, the beach, are Karon's attractions.

Nightlife... is not as varied or raucous as Patong. Karon is a place for enjoying a good local meal, drinking outdoors with friends or watching the world go by. It's quiet but if you want a change of scene, Kata village is within walking distance, and Patong a short drive for a more action packed night out.

The beach... offers masses of room and is rarely crowded. Cold drinks, fruit, sarongs are all available from passing vendors and local restaurants set up on the beach, so you don't need to move unless it's to hire a jet-ski or go snorkelling at the southern end which has a coral reef stretching around the headland towards Kata.

The sand...is a unique Karon phenomena. Walk on this perfect white sand and you'll hear it squeak with every step! No one seems to know why! From November to April, Karon offers perfect conditions, but from May to October swimming can be dangerous because of strong undertows, but there are plenty of hotel pools to take a dip.
