Lexington is at the heart of the Bluegrass region of Kentucky and is famous for the scenic horse farms. Horse racing fans have a real treat in visiting Keeneland (the thoroughbred track) which has a park like setting, and The Red Mile (a harness track located in town). The city is also home to the University of Kentucky, which has one the country's leading college basketball programs, and the city has some great historical houses. See www.lfucg.com/tour.htm for a virtual tour of Lexington presented by the Lexington Fayette County Urban County Government. |
