Frankfort is a small town dominated by state government. Many state workers commute from other cities such as Lexington or Louisville and some joke that the sidewalks in Frankfort roll up at 5:00. Yet, Frankfort does have some attractions worth visiting if you are in the Central Kentucky area or passing through on the interstate highway and want to stop for a rest break, such as visiting the Kentucky History Center pictured above and described in must see page below. |
