San Diego is one of my favorite cities to visit in California because the weather is just about perfect year around and it does not have the smog problems of Los Angeles. I have visited many times, but always regreted that I did not have more time to explore.

If you only have one day, it is worth driving a little further to somewhere like Ensenada. It's a real town. Nobody accosted us, and it was very pretty, too.
