Fishing at Lockport Fishing and hunting Review

Lockport is a small community north of Winnipeg about 40 minutes travel. It is also the site of ancient agricultural inhabitation and also considered one of the oldest known settlement in Canada . The dam and lock of Red river can be found in Lockport as well. This place frequented by people who loves fishing during summer because it is one of the best fishing spot in Manitoba and its proximity to the city made it more accessible to everyone. I myself went there to fish. The best spot there for me is somewhere down the woods. I sat on a dried tree trunk while waiting for my catch and at the same time enjoying the river with ducks swimming and the migratory white pelican flying around the river to catch fish for food or just for fun and relaxation.

Lilac's Resort

The absence of sea made resorts here famous and one among them is Lilac resort. It is said to be the Manitoba's most complete RV, camping resort and water park located on east of Winnipeg, right off the Trans Canada #1. It is a 3 minutes drive.
They have 3 pools and the other one with slide and 4 hot tubs. It is WIFI ready but I am not sure if its free. The resort has a tropical ambiance.
There's a band playing there to entertain you while having your swim or sitting in one of the tables. I had the chance to watch Adam T. Elvis perform on the stage and he's good on singing Elvis Presley's song and dance moves.
The rate is 14 CAD and you can also use their other amenities like the boat paddling and play volleyball on their camp site area though bikes are for rent.The Resort is crowded during summer.
