Actually seeing the Pantheon in person is amazing; you can just feel its history and splendour, especially as it's still so complete. I think the fact that it's located in a small piazza (Piazza della Rotonda) makes it all the more stunning. We sat and had a meal at a restaurant right in front of the Pantheon, which was great!

Trevi Fountain was the first site we visited in Rome. We'd had a long train journey from London and it was lovely to go for a walk that evening. Like so many things in Rome, you often reach them by winding alleyways and this was no exception. I wasn't too sure what to expect, but I remember actually catching my breath when we rounded the corner. For a fountain, this is truly breathtaking. It's lovely to sit there in the evening, but it does get very busy.

All the top names are situated around the Spanish Steps. You might not be able to afford anything, but it doesn't harm to look now does it!
