"Pinch me I not sure this is real" Melbourne by Dymphna1

Why is it that when I am in the place the words I want to write about a place flow through my head a hundred miles an hour, then when I get home and start to write the 'ah' of what I have just experience make the words impossible to write?
Melbourne was one of the cleanest cities I have ever seen. The people there were polite and kind. We ran into a myriad of immigrants to the country. We asked them about places they were from and it was almost an attitude of "We weren't born here, but we got here as fast as we could."
Melbourne is known for it's food and shopping. The food is gourmet everywhere. Expensive! I found that the cost of food was at least twice what it is in the US. But what really struck me was how fresh and unprocessed the food was. Eggs here in the state have a yolk that is a light yellow. There it is a bright yellow. This happens because they are not feeding the chickens all kinds of hormones and other junk so they put out better eggs. We found that the milk was not as processed either.
They have art that is all over the city. Even along the drive there are different sculptures surrounding you. The city fathers have put a concerted effort into this and it shows. There is eye candy all over the city.
I want to add a very personal memory to this trip. It was with the inheritance of my grandmother that I was able to make this trip. I was talking to my friend as we were traveling back and talking about my grandmother. I was telling how it had been such a highlight of her life for me to take her to see Hilary Clinton when she came to town. For my grandmother, the Clintons walked on water. I felt as though I was in the lions den taking her. But it made her happy, so I was more than willing to take her. As I was telling my friend about this the tears came as I realized that as I had given her that highlight at age 88, so she had given me this great highlight in my life.
