This is a touristwarning!
Today (14-8-2002) I read in the newspaper that tourist - especialy chinese and japanese - are being robbed by fake-police. This took place in Amsterdam. They tell you that they have to search you for drugs and rob you. I would suggest that if a police asks you to search you, tell them okay, but that you want to go to the nearest police station for a search.
The asian tourist are victum because they can not hear that those fake police do not speak proper dutch. They drive cars with french licenseplates.
Don't let this discourage you to come to our lovely country, just be careful!
