I found the REAL Acapulco! Caleta and Caletilla beaches are the 'historic' Acapulco where many Mexican families take their children! While some would consider this part of Acapulco a little less attractive this is the safest beach and it is REAL Mexico! There are two wonderful restaurants, a great small hotel on the bay run by a man with a US education and the prices are much lower than the 'tourist Acapulco.'
this photo is of the pool and the cabana is a restaurant and bar in the Hotel where I stayed. I now know the owner and for a good deal contact him and tell him you deserve the Greg Kitzmiller Discount from Virtual Tourist! Miguel Munoz at bocach@acabtu.com.mx |

bobbingoo Wed Oct 27, 2004 19:03 UTC I have read about this hotel in Rough Guide, sounds good, does anyone know if this is a hostel, or do they have hotel rooms with ensuite bathrooms? | XenoHumph Wed Jul 28, 2004 21:54 UTC This hotel looks really nice! Acapulco is amazing, especially its setting in a beautiful bay! Good page! | Redlats Tue May 25, 2004 04:45 UTC We spent two weeks at Acapulco in 1973. I have forgotten most of our trip, but I do not remember seeing Boca Chica. We also took those yellow buses everywhere, but it was a Woolco, not a Walmart then. Interesting page! | stonefree Thu Jan 22, 2004 03:51 UTC Acapulco... its sound of the name always fascinates me... Nice infos! |
