"Ampang" Ampang by aquaaqua

Ampang is in the State of Selangor and was previously a tin mining town located in the districts of Hulu Langat and Gombak. Situated to the east of Kuala Lumpur, Ampang is accessible from Jalan Tun Razak/Jalan Ampang junction from the city. A major urban road passes through Ampang known as the Middle Ring Road 2 or simply MRR2. The road has several exits that will allow motorist to enter various parts of Ampang such as Taman Shamelin/Pandan Perdana, Kampung Pandan/Taman Nirwarna and Ampang Point/Jalan Ampang.

Ampang is made up of several sub-precincts namely; Ampang Indah, Ampang Mewah, Ampang Permai, Ampang Jaya and Lembah Jaya. The sub-precincts of Ampang contain many housing estates namely Taman Dagang, Taman Dagang Jaya, Taman Cahaya, Taman Cempaka, Taman Kosas, Taman Rasmi Jaya, Taman Bukit Indah, Taman Kesuma, Taman Dato' Ahmad Razali, Pandan Jaya and Pandan Indah. All the housing estates are self contained with their own neighbourhood town centres. The busiest and most popular of the town centres is Ampang Point with several restaurants and a shopping mall by the same name.
