Not all that much to tell really, i'm a student at Bangor University, North Wales, ripe young age of 19. Travelling has always been an obsession, as I have been going to the Greek Island of Rhodes untill a few of years ago. We had gone at least once a year since the year i was born, however with the Hotel Oasis, where we have always gone, being rented out to an Italian tour company, we decided against going. However the same year I went on a school holiday to mainland greece, in the summer i went to Sorrento in Italy with my family to see Pompeii and Herculaneum, which have always fascinated me, and the year after we went to Crete. I also enjoy visiting the sites of North Wales, such as the castles and towns. |

| | My Interests I have a huge interest in the classical and medieval world, and so my favourite thing to do on holiday is go to the ancient sites such as, in Greece, Delphi, Olympia and Athens in the mainland, Rhodes Town, Lindos and Kameiros on Rhodes, Knossos and Gortys on Crete, Pompeii and Herculeneum in Italy, Valetta on Malta and Conwy and Caernarfon in Wales. I also enjoy getting some good window shopping in while on holiday (i would enjoy doing normal shopping but i usually take so much nothing will fit in the suitcase on the way home).
Other than the travel interests, I enjoy all the normal stuff, and i love cooking, especialy making my own dishes based on foreign ideas. |

| | North Wales As I am studying at Bangor University, I enjoy visiting the local sites, both in and around Bangor. I particularly enjoy visits to Conwy Beaumaris and Caernarfon castles, and I hope to have visited the other two of Edward I's castles, Flint and Rhuddlan in the near future. |
The Rest Of The World I enjoy visiting Mediterranean countries such as Italy and Greece, which has been a favourite of mine since before i can remember. As i have already mentioned, until a few years ago I had gone to the Island of Rhodes every year, and I am very much looking forward to returning there in the future. I do also enjoy visiting new places. I particularly enjoyed visiting Sorrento and seeing the sights of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and I hope to return there to see the places we werent able to fit in. | | | Comino, Cominoto and the Blue Lagoon, Malta |

| | Travel Plans I plan to go back to Rhodes next summer, so am really looking forward to that.
I also plan to keep exploring places in North Wales and around Manchester. I plan to visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Aber Falls |
Exploring I enjoy going on holiday for two reasons, exploring new places during the day and relaxing in a nice restaurant, bar or other such place in the evening. I really enjoy exploring old ruins, like Medieval Castles such as on Rhodes, and Ancient Towns such as Pompeii. I also enjoy just exploring the towns and seeing how things work in different countries and cultures, and the differences between there and back home. I also find it interesting to see the differences between city life and village life in places. This was most evident to me on the Island of Crete, where there are many villages which have not been hit by the tourism bug and you can really get a feel for Cretan life there. | | | Me looking out to sea from Leto, Crete |

| | Relaxing I also enjoy relaxing, which I think is a major part of any holiday. While I do find exploring relaxing, it is lovely to get back to the hotel, have a nice shower and sit in the bar for a while, have something to eat and give my feet a rest from a hard days walking over the cobbled streets and ancient buildings. It also gives me time to catch up on my writings and to take stock of the days events. |
