Guatemala was an existential experience. The beauty of the landscape. The changes in topography, the tempreature, altitude, the beauty, the 4.2 tremor! The volcanoes, the Peten penisula, the Mayans, the Tikal Mayan temples, the volcanic lake Atitlan! All beautiful. Then there was the awarenes of the social, economic, and racial strugles. It all added up to a trip that made me grow and understand more about the human experiment. I am grateful for that experience.
