Lviv (also known as Lemburg, Lwow & Lvov during various periods in the city's history when the city was part of Austria-Hungary, Poland & Soviet-Union). The city has about 1,000,000 people, a central "market square" (Rynok), opera house, former Jewish, Armenian, Orthodox and Roman catholic areas. There are plenty of pavement cafes, an interesting and cheap eatery, stalls selling souvenirs along Svobody avenue, an array of museums around the Rynok square, all of these will be reviewed in my Lviv pages. Outside the city is an interesting cemetery. During our visit we also hired a local guide for a tour of small towns, castles and palaces and Porchaiv monastery.

Great start on your page of L'viv. It is already bringing back very good memories of when I was there only 2 months ago! I miss it already! You are right Puzata Xhata is very popular with native Ukrainians although I didn't get chance to go there as I was only in L'viv for 1 day.
Jonathan, fabulous start here. Puzata Khata is indeed always well worth a visit. I am looking forward to seeing some photos here.
We have used Puzata Xhata restaurant several times, also in Kiev. Hope to see some pictures here as Lviv is one of my favourite cities in Europe.
