We have recently come back from 3 weeks in thailand. 2 weeks in Phuket and 1 in bankok. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in the Busakorn Wing, which is like a resort within the resort. We had a villa and it was magnificent. King size bed which was turned down every night and an orchid placed on our pillows, the mini bar was restocked everyday free of charge, a plate of fruit was delivered daily to our villa. We had a big flat screen tv and a private balcony that looked over the Busakorn Wing private pool, for use only by people in the Villa's. the pool had it's own bar so you relax by the pool with a cocktail or two... The staff were wonderful, couldn't do enough for you, there is even a doctors office and nurses to look after you. The food in the restaurants was lovely. Your right in the middle of Phuket beach area and yet we couldnt hear the traffic or noise. If you went out one entrance your right on the beach, if you go out another your right across the road from the night markets and the shopping ... ahh the shopping - wonderful, so much stuff. If your thinking of going to Phuket - do yourself a favour and stay at the Holiday Inn Busakorn wing - worth every cent.
