The first official VT meet for 2009 was held for VT ellielou from Baltimore. She is in the country for a combination of work and vacation. Although she arrived only this afternoon, she's in high spirits and ready to tackle the local gastronomic fare.
We brought her to Bacolod Chicken Inasal and in between chats, she sampled the house specialty - chicken inasal - and a host of other dishes like adobong kangkong, tuna sisig, sinigang na bangus belly, fried noodles, ensaladang talong with manga & bagoong, crispy crablets.
A self-confessed dessert fan, her top priority in visiting Manila is to sample Halo-Halo (shaved ice with fruits, beans, milk and ice cream), which she did at Max's Restaurant where we moved to after dinner.
The meet broke up around 11pm with plans of meeting again, this time for a shopping spree at Tiendesitas when Ellen comes back from her trip to the south.

This is great ladies I met Ellen and hubby Mike in Baltimore few years ago and she is a great lady Hubby does a pretty good Karaoki Some day I really hope to be there as well ,some day . |
