We visited the Parliament Building on a guided tour on May 24th, 2005. We were 52 seniors and we even got to meet the DEPUTY who represents our area and had dinner in the in THE PARLEMENTAIRE RESTAURANT.
Quebec City is the only "WALLED" City in North America. It is a "UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE" and as such it's unique historical sites will be preserved for posterity. The Chateau Frontenac from the boardwalk on the ri The biggest tourist attraction in Quebec. During the war of 1939 to1945 The President of the U.S.A ( Roosevelt) the Prime Minister of England (Churchill) and the Prime minister of Canada ( King) and all their staff met here for strategy meetings.
In 2001 The world trade meetings were held here with lots of RIOTS and demonstrations. There was a 16 ft. security fence around a big area here. |  | |
