Simonne and Parliament Building
We visited the Parliament Building on a guided tour on May 24th, 2005. We were 52 seniors and we even got to meet the DEPUTY who represents our area and had dinner in the in THE PARLEMENTAIRE RESTAURANT.

Quebec City is the only "WALLED" City in North America. It is a "UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE" and as such it's unique historical sites will be preserved for posterity. Pictures further on of the wall and the doors or Les Porte's St. Louise and St Jean.

We had dinner here in the Parliament Bldg. Or as some call it "THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY"

The biggest tourist attraction in Quebec.
During the war of 1939 to1945 The President of the U.S.A ( Roosevelt) the Prime Minister of England (Churchill) and the Prime minister of Canada ( King) and all their staff met here for strategy meetings.

In 2001 The world trade meetings were held here with lots of RIOTS and demonstrations. There was a 16 ft. security fence around a big area here.

 at last - we made it, a thanksgiving weekend - fall foliage was spectacular - regert not having visited earlier, but now i am ready for another visit ;-)))
