We spent many month long holidays over the years in a rented condo at Daytona and PORT ORANGE Florida. We went for the sun, the ocean and the great 7 mile long beach. Canada is cold in winter and Florida is the place of choice for Canadian seniors. In recent years the cost of health care has put health travel insurance out of reach so a lot of SNOWBIRDS as we are called can no longer go there for the winter.
This submarine was captured during the 1939--1945 war with Germany and is in a museum in Chcago. I saw it and took this photo in 1965 or there about
- Pros:Warmer climate in winter in the south
- Cons:Expensive for Canadians ( exchange rate ) Cost of health care out of site.
- In a nutshell:Sun,Ocean and sandy beachs are the attraction.

an interesting page ! I just returned from a museum in Sinsheim, where they also show a Stuka - but I have to admit, the one on your pic looks much better !
