Kotor is a city on the coast of Adriatic sea in Montenegro.
During its rich and diverse history the city has been an important trade route and a key maritime center. It has been ruled by Illyrians, Romans, Hungarians, Medieval Serbia, Venetians, French and Austrians. All these rulers left behind some of their traces on this tiny coastal town.
Old town of Kotor was placed on the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.
- Pros:Mediterranean climate and spectacular location!
- Cons:Crowded during peak tourist season.

That pic of Gospa is stunning! Great pages! Blu
You always catch the best of a landscape and when the lalndscape is magnificient, that makes a great page !
great page about kotor biljana. i totally fell in love with that place when i spend a few days there a couple of months ago.
Yes, this place looks postcard picture perfect. (love a good bit of alliteration. lol!) Would love to visit here one day preferably just b4 or just after peak summer tourist season.
your photos are great - this place is so beautiful !
Lovely photography, Biljana. I'm learning more and more about Montenegro these days. I suppose I need to visit someday. : )
Hi Biljana! I just returned from Kotor. The town is so much more fun now and better than it was in 1986. I loved my trip to Serbia & Montenegro. I'll try to get my photos up soon.
Kotor and the coast looks like a lovely area really worth visiting one day!
I guess you did not walk the walls :-)) Luckily, my friends did some walking before I arrived so I could admire walls while having my coffee fix at one of many nice terraces :-))
Looks quite charming...!
