The tour package to Taroko Gorge from Hualien is around NT1000. If you are to hire a taxi the price is NT2200 ( at the time of writing this review ) for 1 - 4 persons. You will have much flexibility moving around and you do not have to be rushed from one place to another. You will have the luxury of walking the Shakadang Trail and the Lyushui trail and enjoy the beautiful sceneries. If you shared out the cost it is much cheaper than taking a tour bus.
