I'm often in Kuusankoski for work reasons and, while there, try to see as much as the town and surroundings as possible.
The main photo (June 2008) shows Kuusankoskitalo, the Kuusankoski Hall, with Hotel Sommelo in the background on the far left.
Kuusankoski is a small town that grew up on the banks of the Kymi river and owes much to the paper industry. Architecturally it is predominantly stark, even brutal, as shown by the town hall, seen in the second photo.
