Let's start with a funny face...

I took this picture in Limburg where we stopped to eat lunch driving from the Black Forest to Duesseldorf, thought it would a great way for me to introduce myself to the VT community. I was born in the US, but my family is German and I have dual citizenship. Lived outside of Munich for 3 and a half years when I was young, it was my parent's goal to show me as much of Europe as possible while we were there. I experienced the roads of the former Yugoslavia on the way to Greece. I was out of school traveling so much during that time that one teacher wrote on my report card, "she would do a lot better on her coursework if she was actually in class". Traveling is educational right? In college, lived in Hamburg for a year and interned with a very dynamic Italian/German Interior Architect. I spent most summers of my childhood traveling between Duesseldorf and the Black Forest, both of my parents independently escaped from former East Germany and I was able to visit before the wall came down.

Most recent travels.

My mom decided she wanted to go to Amish country in Pennsylvania. Seeing that she just completed chemo and is a breast cancer survivor, noone was going to argue with her. :-) The pic is of the countryside and an Amish family's laundry - we don't see many laundry lines up here in the city. So peaceful....

Well, actually it was a business trip to Bellevue, but I snuck out early on my last day to take in the market in Seattle. They threw fish over my head, and I found a great place to have sushi. Didn't get to visit the space needle or the monorail, but I'll save that for next year.

Washington DC

Slightly past cherry blossom season and right before it got really warm, but there is so much to see there. Got to see Kermit the frog, and finally saw some Pandas!!! All my life although I have traveled all over Europe and part of the US, I have always missed the Pandas. It seems they knew I was coming and put on quite a show...

Pittsfield, NH

So traveling from Boston to NH is not really much of a trip, but I wanted to sneak in my pictures of the hot air balloon festival. :-)
