Jenny's Blue Bar: Tiger beer on tap!

Before my first trip to Shanghai i had done a lot of research and found this bar on the net, well i could not beleive my luck at finding it on this trip and had to check this place out! Shirley was finding her boys and a place to eat so i was gone to discover Jenny's bar! On entering i felt completely at home with Brothers in Arms from Dire Straits playing away and promptly found a stool at the bar. The barmaids English was limited but did inform me that it was happy hour on the tap Tiger beer, so you don't have to tell rabbit twice!! Some Jethro Tull was playing as i asked for the bathroom, but the young bar ladies only understood beer, so off i went to search and was lucky, found them out the back, ya! After downing a few of those lovely cold beers (as it was hot as outside) and listening to Fleetwood Mac, Jenny came along so rabbit introduced himself, told Jenny he had seen her place on the internet and Jenny says "your having a free beer for that!" After some Rolling Stones it was time to say goodbye...sob sob.....
Thank you Jenny and as promised, Rabbit will be back!!

Old Manhattan Bar & Restaurant: get here for happy hour!

One of the many famous bars for expats and visitors alike. This was always busy during the evenings and very welcoming. Food is available such as pizzas or there is Indian food on the top level. Also the rest rooms are on the top level so be careful coming back down the stairs after too many happy hour beers....lol Do not worry about the barman that does not speak English, he will show you on his calculator when he wants some money and the menu is easy to understand!

Dress Code: As this is where rabbit would sneak off to when Shirley is busy so we named it the first bar, which Shirley would know where to find me (as it is the first in a row of bars) therefore the dress code is casual!!...lmao

Address: 231 Hua Shan Road

Directions: Jiang Temple district almost opposite the Hilton Hotel from Metro #2 line

What more can you say? - Shanghai

What more can you say?

Vue Bar Restaurant: And still more views!

Vue Bar Restaurant is one floor below the bar which also has stunning views over the Huangpu river, so go late for the beautiful Shanghai night lights! We went here after 9.00pm for a light late super which was a good idea (lucky) as any earlier they have a minimum table cover price of 2000 RMB which is ok if your there for an evening meal with freinds. Although you are in a very, very nice upmarket restaurant with great service and even if small bottles of tsingtao beer is 60 RMB enjoy yourself, when will you be back? Well worth it!

Dress Code: Well Rabbit was allowed entry on " tidy but casual " but it is the "Hyatt", so be neatly dressed!

Address: Hyatt on the Bund, 199 Huang Pu Road.

Directions: On the 32nd and 33rd floors of the Hyatt's West Tower. Grab a taxi from East Nanjing Road station on #2 metro line, well worth it!

Wow! - Shanghai

Wow!

Vue Bar and Restaurant: Views don't get much better than this!

Vue Bar features fantastic stunning views over the Huangpu river, so go late for the beautiful Shanghai night lights and take your camera. It is in a relaxed setting with plenty of staff for great service and even if the drink price's are paying for this privilege, indulge yourself, when will you be back? They also have an indoor spa pool bubbling away, so don't be shy take a plung....lol!!!! Well worth it!
