"This is my Region" Canterbury by Kimi_the_Bear

Canterbury is MY region because I live here. From my little hometown of Lyttelton we often travel to the most beautiful places of the region, and I always sneak into the car, so I do not miss a thing. Well, I do not really have to sneak into the car. Mama and Papa nearly always take me on their trips because they know how much I love to tell you about my adventures on VT.

Our one day trips go to Lake Tekapo, and if we can stay overnight we carry on to Mt. Cook, and we go to Kaikoura, Arthurs Pass, Hanmer Springs, Timaru... And you know, Christchurch is just over the hills, so I go there all the times. It is the capital of Canterbury and the biggest city of the South Island and the second-largest city of the whole of New Zealand. We go to Banks Peninsula and Akaroa. We go to Mt. Sunday which was the film location of the Lord of the Rings castle and Edoras. We go hiking at Mt. Somers and Mt. Hutt - and if you want, you can also go skiing there. And we go to all the beautiful places in between.

• Pros:This region has it all: Spectacular nature, great wildlife, and a big city with a lot of food
• Cons:The Canterbury Plains are a bit boring and have too many fences and too many farting cows
• In a nutshell:I LOVE IT HERE!!!!
