"Lovely Foxton, beaches, bulls in Bulls and more" Manawatu/Wanganui by Kimi_the_Bear

Foxton - located between Wellington and W(h)anganui - is as lovely as a small town can get. It was one of the biggest positive surprises on our travels. It is just lovely, lovely, lovely! And to make it perfect, we met a Maori man who told us his story about getting his face tattoed. This is called a full face moko. He even posed with me for a photo!

We only got to visit Foxton because we stayed with relatives outside the township, and before carrying on Mama said we should have a look at Foxton, so we know how it is there. And what a surprise! (I remember, I have said it before...) The town is full of beautiful murals and some other unique features like a horse-drawn tram, a sound and movie museum, a tram and trolley bus museum, a flax stripper museum and a Dutch windmill! And just a few kilometres away is wonderful and endless Foxton Beach. Really a perfect holiday spot.

And it just goes on, in both directions. Beach, beach, beach!
