I spent just under 3 weeks in Borneo and came back with the feeling of having 3 holidays in one.
We started out in the jungles around the Kinabatangan river looking at the birds and wildlife of the rainforests. We then moved on to spend a few days on Islands with golden beaches and clear blue seas, followed by the hustle and bustle of Sandakan and KK and the clear air of Kinabalu park and the mountain.
Not many places can offer such a diverse mix of places in such a small area, and each one bought new experiences and challenges. Whilst many seem to see Borneo as a place just to spot wildlife it has so much more to experience and with friendly locals and an easily navigable transport system is a good destination for less experienced travelers as well as those who have seen the world.

Think I will steer clear of the Hotel London!
It's a wonderful area, isn't it? We just loved it, could easily return!
