For the avid photographers, if you really must take pics of the local people, no problem - just spare a thought for them and give them a small tip.

If you really want to take pics of the local people without them knowing, I suggest you use a zoom lens because Peru is no zoo and the Indian people here do want to be respected. Just like you wouldn't like people to go taking your pics when you are eating or walking, would you? Let's treat these nice Peruvian folks with deep respect. I do feel very strongly about this issue especially since I've seen the number of tourists who point their cameras right into the faces of these poor souls - and they appear just so helpless most times!! Please don't be like those paparazzi. :=) I'd never talk to you ever again if you do that!!!!!!!!!!!!
