So we enjoy Ohrid

How wonderful to arrive and settle in to our Ajeksandrija Hotel. The view from our room was stunning and we were just inside the Old Town and in the other direction were the markets and shops. It seems to me we made the right choice.

We opted to rest the next day and were bright and fresh for the fantastic Official Dinner at the Belvedere...good food, good company, music, dancing.

Some of our VAs (virtual attendees) and the Barney crew kept us busy sitting right in the middle of the dinner table and then wanting to dance all the time.

A wonderful Tour of Western Macedonia(from Valentinas post)):

Vevchani village & the Duf waterfalls
Debar, following the river Crni Drim
In Debar a visit the St George the victorious monastery build in the XII century
AD
Visit to Lazaropole,Bitushe, Rostuche & Velebrdo villages, following the Radika river.
Lunch at Restaurant "Benex" on the banks of Radika river
Visit to Monastery St Jovan Bigorski build in the X AD
Stop at Mavrovi Anovi for short break in Mavrovo NP + lake Mavrovo,
then continue to Tetovo.
In Tetvovo visit to the painted Mosque,Araba Babati Teke and Leshok monastery.
Return to Ohrid for farewell dinner at Dalga Restaurant.

Hi Marg, yes I was there for one week and few times in Macedonia (Skopje, etc.) but I would like to take my kids there :-)

I'm thinking to go there. It is just 1000 km :-)

Love your travels! And Macedonia?! I'm so envious. I want to see Ohrid one day. That photo of the lake is beautiful!
PS: I'm collecting ideas from everyone's pages to incorporate mine. I didn't know you could have colored font!!
