Music midst the Ruins

This was certainly an unexpected delight. The Aegean Chamber Orchestra played Bach, Mozart accompanied by Ipek Sancr on Flute.... and in Part2, Haydn, Mozart, Ivanovici, Brahms, Gardel, and Piazzola.

And what a delight was the whole evening arranged by the Yachts of Seabourn .

I think this is a regular event but none the less this did not detract from the delight of the evening.

Welcomed by the past

How beautiful was this

Ephesus was once one of the most splendid places in the Mediterranean world and today midst the ruins the search for the past continues.

We were welcomed here with wine, flowers,and fruits to enjoy while our senses were overwhelmed by the surrounds. We were transported by stories of the Greek Gods ...AND THEN THE MUSIC.

An evening never to forget

We sat at little tables covered by a white cloth and were tempted with sweets and other delights. Just picture the scene.

After a day of schlepping around the ruins of Ephesus i went to see Bob Dylan at the Roman amphitheater with the receptionist from my hotel. acoustics were incredible, all these many years later!

  We were so lucky...I just ticked it on the brochure ...it was a freebie....and no details. I shudder to think we might have missed it.
