Ancient town

Ancient town near BKK

Ayuthaya is an open air museum, with lot of temples. It's easy to reach by car, by bus or train. An alternative way is to book a cruise in BKK: it's for tourists, you see very little of town but it's a fine trip by boat. We may distinct an inner and an outer town. We may visit temples in inner city by foot, but the temple are distant one from another and often you have to take a tuk - tuk; of course it depends also from the hotel you start. For the outer part you need some kind of transport. A lot of people spend a day in Ayuthaya, but I advice that's better use more days (minimum 3). In weeck-ends the hotel are often fully booked, so reserve in advance.
