As mentioned in my France homepage, I chose Limoges as my Périgord anchor city. Limoges itself is nice, but to visit the Périgord region, you better stay in Périgueux or numerous countryside or farm accommodations.<BR>
The Périgord region is located South of Limoges and is located North of Toulouse. <BR>
It is a magnificent region, renowned for the famous Foie Gras and Confit, but also have rivers, some of the most picturesque villages in France, mineralogical wonders and archeological and historical sites.<BR>

Tragic history in Oradour-sur-Glane, very sad. Beynac looks a beautiful village, there are so many wonderful little places in France. A very enjoyable read. (~_~)
